Meet Lynn

Lynn learned to create art as a young child when her father’s job moved their family from the United States to Europe, where Lynn encountered more diverse landscapes and perspectives than she ever had before. When she was a little girl mesmerized by the world around her, her father offered her words of wisdom that still guide her practice today: “If you draw it, you’ll never forget it”. Her life was filled with change and adventure, but in the quiet moments in the back of the car on a road trip or outdoors on a sunny day, Lynn was always accompanied by her sketchbook and pencils. Lynn’s art education was made up of trips to art museums around the world, cultural immersion, and countless hours spent in the abundant beauty of the natural world. As Lynn grew older her focus shifted to family and community work, which led her to co-found the Casco Bay Art Student’s League so other aspiring artist’s nearby would have a gathering place to commune with one another. During this time, Lynn also became enamored with the nature based martial art of Tai Chi. This inspired her to dive into the practice of Chinese Brush Painting, an art form focused on capturing the chi - the life force- of an object. Today, Lynn combines the dynamic, energy focused practice of Chinese Brush painting with western watercolor technique to create a refreshing and freeing personal style that she uses to explore and connect with the natural world. Lynn is an artist passionate about continuing to learn every day, a Tai Chi instructor, and a beloved mother and “Tee Tee” to her grandchildren. She is excited to finally be offering the lovingly created cards she has been selling for years on her online shop, and hopes that her products bring you a sense of peace and connection with the natural world and those you love.
